The World Airline Awards produce a list of – you guessed it – the world’s best airlines. But what would be even more useful is a roundup of all the absolute finest operators with services near you, right?
Well, handily, Skytrax’s annual customer satisfaction survey gains insight from travellers from more than 100 different countries, enabling it to produce regional top 10 lists, too. So, frequent flyers in Europe – listen up.

In the newly-released 2025 edition of the awards, Turkish Airlines has claimed the crown as the best operator in Europe. Unsurprisingly, it also won first place for the best airline in southern Europe, and the accolade for the world’s best business class onboard catering. Good stuff, eh?
But, if you’re flying with Turkish Airlines soon, there’s a new rule you should be aware of. Time Out reported back in May that Türkiye will soon issue fines for those who stand up after a flight has landed but before the seatbelt sign has been switched off, and Turkish Airlines, the country’s national carrier, will be the first to implement this rule. You can read more about it here.
Air France claimed second place, and Swiss International Airlines claimed third. Read on to find out if your go-to operator made this prestigious top 10.
