Naomi Campbell has taken to Instagram to announce her first child. The post shows the child's feed in the palm of Campbell's hand.

The post has around half a million likes within two hours of being posted, and has congratulation messages from fashion giants Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones, and Riccardo Tisci, as well as celebrities including Rita Ora and Rosalía.

In the post Campbell wrote "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."

The story is still developing, but from the post we can deduce Campbell's child is a girl. We don't know when she was born, or her name. We do know this is Campbell's first child.

The British supermodel has mentioned her desire to be a mother in multiple interviews in the past.

In 2017 she mentioned to ES Magazine that she felt "with the way science is" she was able to wait until she was ready to have a child. In 2014 she also expressed her desire to have children on a SiriusXM interview with Diane von Furstenberg. A snippet of the interview can be heard here. She says "I do want to have a baby, whether I'm with a man or not, I will have it on my own."

Further details on how Naomi became a mother have yet to be revealed.
