Ever been asked to water a friend’s plants – or feed their *extremely* ungrateful cat – while they jet off on holiday? House-sitting can be pretty unglamorous at the best of times. But you’ve ever fantasised about borrowing an actual famous person’s house instead, your time has come.

Reggaeton musician Daddy Yankee is opening up his home on Airbnb while he’s away on tour next month. That’s right: you’re house-sitting for the actual King of Reggaeton. Fans will be able to stay in the gaudy hideaway in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, throughout December for just $85 (£63) a night.

You’ll be met by the hitmaker on your arrival – virtually, of course – and you’ll then be free to browse his vast awards collection (kind of a flex, tbh). There’s a luxurious outdoor pool, an insanely vibrant living room, a huge volleyball court and a pool table decorated with the Puerto Rican flag. Oh, and he’ll create a playlist just for you. Beats navigating your cousin’s damp apartment, right?

You could probably spend most of your time just hanging out by the pool, but if you’re looking to explore the island, there’s a Daddy Yankee-approved list of bars and restaurants to check out. Or you could explore the El Yunque National Forest, which isn’t far away at all. The trip will do some good, too: Airbnb says it will donate to PRoTechos, a Puerto Rican organisation that restores buildings after natural disasters.

Be prepared to pounce fast: booking opens on December 6 at 1pm EST and spaces will no doubt sell out quickly.

Looking for things to do while you’re there? Here are the 12 best things to do in Puerto Rico right now.
