We all need heartwarming stories in our lives at the moment and happily cinema’s own magic grandpa, Martin Scorsese, and its bright young hope, Timothée Chalamet, have been on hand to provide it.

The pair have been out and about in New York, shooting an ad for men’s fragrance ‘Chanel Bleu’. Very publicly too, which has afforded unusually behind-the-scenes access to passersby and fuelled a warming array of internet good vibes.

Scorsese and Chalamet were filming in the Queens suburb of Astoria on Saturday, as well as at a New York subway station, and the upshot has been enough online content to keep even the most ardent Chalamaniac happy.

Take a look below to see the pair in action in their quest to get men smelling a bit nicer.

And saving the best for last...

The short commercial is a change of pace for the duo, who both have epics to showcase later this year. Scorsese is taking his latest film, 206-minute crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon, to Cannes next month, while Chalamet is returning to Arrakis in Dune: Part II. That one will be out on November 3.
