The least insurable man in showbiz, Tom Cruise is at it again. A couple of weeks ago he was driving a motorbike off a cliff on Mission: Impossible 7. Next up? He’s planning to head into space to shoot a film with his old Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman. Live, fly, repeat: that’s the Cruise mantra.

Helping with this mad-sounding venture is Elon Musk. Space Shuttle Almanac reports that Cruise and Liman will be heading into space on the Axiom Space Crew Dragon, a capsule owned by Musk’s SpaceX company in October 2021.

One the flight manifest are SpaceX Pilot Lopez Alegria, Tourist 1 Tom Cruise and Tourist 2 Doug Liman. There’ll be space for one more passenger. Do they take a cinematographer? Another cast member? Someone from craft services with snacks?

Not too much is known about the project beyond that, except that it’s financed by Universal and will cost somewhere in the $200 million ballpark. As the saying goes: watch this space.

A new visitor attraction is coming to James Bond’s UK home.

London is getting a new statue of Harry Potter.
