Orlando has a little bit of everything, from world-famous theme parks and charming historic neighborhoods to brilliant museums and restaurants worth venturing beyond the tourist hotspots for. And when it comes to where to stay, there’s just as much variety. You could check into a ritzy resort or a budget-friendly hotel, but an Airbnb in Orlando offers a more homely way to experience the city. Whether you’re looking for an Airbnb near Disney World, a downtown Orlando home or a spacious stay for the whole family, there’s something for every kind of trip. From romantic yurt retreats to full-on themed houses, these are the best Airbnbs in Orlando.

Updated August 2026: We’ve given this list a much-needed edit, this time with a spotlight on a downtown Orlando pool house, and a spacious townhouse near Disney.

Frequently Asked Questions about booking an Airbnb in Orlando

Is it better to stay in an Airbnb or a Disney hotel in Orlando?

It depends on what kind of trip you’re planning. Disney resort hotels win if you want the full Disney bubble, with perks including Early Theme Park Entry and easy access to the parks. But for larger groups, an Airbnb in Kissimmee or Davenport can offer much more bang for your buck. You’ll often get multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen for saving money on meals, a living room to spread out in and even a private pooloften for considerably less than a Disney villa.

Are the best Airbnbs actually in Orlando or Kissimmee?

If you’re picturing one of Orlando’s enormous resort-style rentals, you’ll probably want to look beyond Orlando proper. Many of the big holiday homes are clustered around Kissimmee, Davenport and Reunion, just south of Disney World. These are particularly good for families and large groups looking for pools, multiple bedrooms and easy park access. Meanwhile, Airbnbs actually in Orlando tend to be a better bet if you’re visiting Universal Studios, Downtown Orlando or Winter Park and want to be closer to the city’s restaurants, bars and cultural attractions.

Do Orlando Airbnbs heat their pools in the winter?

Don’t assume that a Florida pool means a warm swim in December. Central Florida can get surprisingly chilly between December and February, and while many Orlando vacation rentals have pools, pool heating usually costs extra. Expect an additional fee of around $30–$50 a day, although prices vary by property. If you’re visiting in winter, check the listing carefully and message your host before booking to confirm whether the pool can be heated and exactly what it’ll cost.

Do you need a rental car if you stay at an Orlando Airbnb?

We’d recommend one, especially for families or larger groups. Uber and Lyft are widely available, but relying on rideshares for a group of five or more can quickly get expensiveparticularly when surge pricing kicks in after the parks close. You’ll also have to factor in car seats and multiple journeys. If you’re renting a car, look for an Orlando Airbnb with free driveway parking so you can come and go without worrying about parking fees.
