It's summer camp time again!

Students will have fun learning and performing popular theater songs. They will learn vocal and choreography skills. Students will have a blast performing some of Broadway’s favorite songs.

*There will be a student showcase on Friday, June 27, at 1 p.m., and Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m.

Camp Cost: $100.00

This camp is open to students from 1st grade through 9th grade.


Students will receive a drink and snack each. They may bring food from home and there will also be items at the theater for sale. FRIDAY IS FREE PIZZA DAY!

Each day will have a fun themed dress up day (optional).

Meet your camp counselors:

Your head counselor will be owner and artistic director of the Breakthrough Theatre, Wade Hair. Before opening the theater, Wade was a teacher with Orange County Public Schools for 13 years. He taught at Wheatley Elementary, Robinswood Middle, Howard Middle, Ocoee High, and Wekiva High. While at Howard Middle School, he also served as the coordinator of the City of Orlando's Afterschool All-Stars Program. He graduated from UCF with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with an added certification in Drama. He left teaching to open the Breakthrough Theatre, which is about to finish its sixth successful year. Wade is the proud father of two wonderful children and loves traveling (especially to NYC), reading, music, and theater.

Lori Babson Jessup was born and raised in Hawaii, and has been in theater for most of her life. She debuted in her first stage production at the age of 5 and attended Kaimuki Performing Arts Center throughout high school. She spent half her time on stage and the other half learning all aspects of theater tech, eventually becoming an accomplished costume designer, makeup artist, and stage manager. Lori paid her dues in New York City, working in whatever capacity she could in the theater world. She has toured all over the world, performing for our men in uniform through the Department of Defense. A trained classical soprano, Lori has played Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Dorothy in The Wiz!, and now owns her own theatrical troupe in Orlando; Double Trouble Productions.

Justin J. Scarlat was the resident musical director of the Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park for 3 seasons. He has directed, musical directed, and acted in many Breakthrough productions, as well as productions around Central Florida. He is currently a music major at Seminole State College. He is currently a teacher at Master Class Academy.
