Call To Artists Military Themed Art Show At City Arts Factory

Heroes of Freedom is hosting a military themed art show CityArts factory for the 3rd Thursday art stroll, March 19th. We are looking for military themed artwork by veterans, active personnel, and family and friends. Veterans- We need you to create some art for us! Topics can include- Who inspired you? What lessons did you learn? How have you grown? etc.. Veteran supporters- We need your artwork as well! Create artwork and tell us how you feel about the military. This is a JURIED showing you can submit 4-6 pieces. * All mediums accepted - photography, sculptures, visual art, mixed media etc Email: Heroesoffreedom2@gmail.com or urbanslandmark77@yahoo.com Include the following - Subject window ( Veterans Art Show) ** Please include best phone# in case we need to reach you. JPEG standard or 300dpi photos of your work to Include: your name (especially how it is to appear on the label, and if it sales your legal name as well) painting size, price, medium and titles of art. ** Deadline Thursday March 12th ** All Art accepted will be informed by March 13th Art Drop Off *Saturday March 14th *Monday 16th (last day) Both days from 11a til 6p Opening Night Thursday March 19th 6p til 9p Portions of the proceeds from the sales during the show will go to support Heroes of Freedom. Commission Split 50% of the funds will go to the artist 50% will go to CityArts and Heroes of Freedom. Payout will occur after the end of the show April 11th Art Pickup from CityArts Factory * Saturday April 11th *Monday April 13th (last day) Both days from 11a til 6p Heroes of Freedom is a local non-profit that helps disabled veterans through housing renovation, organizing holistic veteran workshops and transitional housing programs. http://heroesoffreedom.org/ Healing Arts- During the month of the show will be up we will be leading free therapeutic classes at City Arts Factory every Saturday. Classes will include- Tai Chi, Reiki and Spoken word/poetry. Classes will be free to all veterans and their families. More details to be announced. Stay tuned as we get everything into motion! ** In addition, the Heroes of Freedom will be conducting a class each Saturday for the run of the exhibit demonstrating a healing art including Tai Chi, Reiki, and Poetry. 3/28 - Tai Chi with Richard Pinela 4pm - 5 pm. 4/4 - Intro to Reiki with Laura Charette 4pm-5pm. 4/11 - Poetry class with Rayvon Purplecloud 4pm-5pm.
