Join the Citrus Club Young Executives at our May Cocktails for a Cause event! This month's event supports a very special project by the US Green Building Council of Central Florida to build a more sustainable women's shelter at the Coalition for the Homeless.

The US Green Building Council of Central Florida is a volunteer organization made up of professionals from the building industry. They aim to be THE source for all things sustainable in Central Florida, and strive to achieve their mission through education, outreach and advocacy in Central Florida's work and community environments. Learn more on their website at

The Coalition for the Homeless' Woman's Residential and Counseling Center (WRCC) provides food, shelter, counseling, and other recovery resources to homeless women and children in Orlando, often victims of domestic violence. The USGBC-CF chapter's Community Advocacy Program (CAP) and their partners, like ASHRAE-CF and IDEAS, are working to make the facility more comfortable and sustainable for the residents and employees and allow the Coalition to redirect energy and water efficiency savings back into their social service programs.

Cocktails for a Cause attendees make a donation directly to the charity, and receive 1 drink ticket (good for beer, wine, and liquor beverages) and a spread of appetizers to snack on while networking with a fun and diverse group. This event is geared to not only raise funds for the organization, but also to raise awareness and be a platform for our local charities to spread the word about what they do and how people can become involved.

The Citrus Club Young Executives are proud to support Second Chance of Florida this month. See you at the Citrus Club on April 7th at 5:30pm!

(This event is open to the public; you do not have to be a Citrus Club member to attend. Business or business casual dress code required.)
