Enjoy portrait photography? Take your portrait skills to the next level, as you learn to compose your image by seamlessly blending the subject’s surroundings into the picture. Through both classroom and field instruction, you will learn lighting principles and techniques, allowing you to create stunning portraits. Put these skills to use working with a model in both an indoor and outdoor setting. Students will present their work during a constructive review session that will be scheduled for a future date. Model and location fees are included.

Doug Jackson is a photographer based in Orlando. He earned a bachelor’s degree in film and served as a U.S. Marine in the Iraq War. Some of the values that guide his process include empathy, transparency and classicism. The result is a clear vision that lends itself to creating meaningful and compelling imagery. A propensity toward the cinematography of filmmaking in combination with editorial photography equip him to produce images that establish a strong sense of artistic identity.
