Herbal Workshop – Crafting Your Own Herbal Bitters says
We can thank Urban Moonshine for the beautiful bitter renaissance we’re experiencing, but now it’s time to make your own herbal bitters! As a culture we consume lots of sweet, salty, processed, and fatty foods, with not a whole lot of bitterness. Our bodies are receptive to bitters, and even crave the bitter flavor! Our digestive system calls out for bitters, and wants to taste that flavor far more often than we let it. We’ll talk about the body’s reaction to bitters and why we need them, try 3 different types of bitters, and students will be able to take home their own bottle of bitters!

Let’s learn to make our own herbal bitters with Nina DiCristina on April 6th!

Join us every Thursday night, starting March 10th through August 11th, to learn more about the healing world of plants! With a rotation of topics and teachers, both the amateur plant lover and the seasoned herbal enthusiast will find a workshop to fit your interest. Beginners and experts alike are welcome to come learn, share, and grow together. No prior herbal experience is necessary!

Tuition is $20 per workshop, or sign up for 10 & get one FREE. Bring a notebook, a pen, a curious mind, and a friend!
We encourage you to register in advance, as space in each week’s workshop is limited.
Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm starting March 9th

Nina DiCristina is an herbalist in Orlando, Florida. She’s been studying the plants since 2008 and formally with the guidance of herbalist Emily Ruff at the Florida School of Holistic Living since 2011. She’s also been fortunate enough to study with Rosemary Gladstar, and Guido Masé.

She loves the daily communion with the plants and the joy they bring to those who know them. She can be found pouring the tea at beloved Dandelion Communitea Cafe, teaching at the Florida School of Holistic Living, and enthusiastically assisting at the annual Florida Herbal Conference.
