Florida School of Holistic Living says
Botany is the study of plants: their structure, growing habits, and relationship to the world around them. In this class, we will dive into the details of plants and gain an understanding of the characteristics that are important for correct identification and amplified appreciation. We will learn why various plants grow in the ways they do and how they relate to each other and their environment. This class is designed to give students the tools for developing skills to confidently botanize on their own.
Here in Florida, temperate ecosystems meet the subtropics to create unique and diverse plant communities. We are so lucky to be in this wonderland while we explore the world of botany!!
Tuition includes the class textbook, Botany in a Day by Thomas Elpel, along with handouts, a loupe, and a gluten-free vegan lunch. Leave this class feeling more confident, connected, and excited about the magical plant life surrounding you!
