Introduction to Aromatherapy covers the foundations of using aromatherapy in the home including history, essential oil safety, contraindications, blending, and product making. The workshop covers over 20 different essential oils, their constituents, and uses. Participants will receive a hands on experience creating their own customized blends and learn how to create blends for their family, friends, and clients. This workshop is great for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of aromatherapy, enhance their self care routine, or offer extra services for their clients.

We will cover safety and ethical uses of essential oils and you will leave with a working knowledge of choosing and blending essential oils for different physical, mental, and emotional ailments.

As part of your tuition, you will receive:
-course handbook with recipes and recommendations
-select Essential Oil materials
-personalized aromatherapy room spray
-personalized aromatherapy roll-on

Students will get hands on experience creating aromatherapy products and working with the oils and work through exercises to create masterful and creative aromatherapy blends for different phases and challenges of life. Whether you are just seeking to deepen your self care practice, looking to incorporate aromatherapy into your therapy or yoga practice, or seeking another way to connect with your friends, family, or clients, this transformative workshop will give you the confidence to begin working the essential oils in a safe, healthy, and effective manner.

This class is held Saturday & Sunday December 5-6 from 10 am - 5 pm. Tuition of $300 includes materials. Register by October 31st and receive an additional $50 discount. 12 CEUs are conferred to Florida Licensed Massage Therapist, Dietitians Nurses, Midwives, Acupuncturists, & Respiratory Therapists.

Kristen Prosen is a yoga teacher, artist, writer, and herbalist located in Central Florida. She studied Aromatherapy with Sylla Sheppard-Hanger at the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy in Tampa, FL. She uses essential oils and herbs in her yoga classes, client work, and private life as a way to treat and prevent illness and enhance well being. She lives in Tampa, FL with her doggie best friend Appa, and her friendly black cat Cortez.
