Jai Gallery Exhibition Guidelines

Hey OCC Members Here Is Your Chance To Shine We are having an OPEN competition for all OCC members! Selected images will hang in JAI Gallery for one month. This competition will be judged by 3-4 outside judges and any entry may rise to the top and be eligible to hang in this exhibit: InSight Here’s all you have to do: Find your best three (3) images and submit them to Wayne Bennett BEFORE February 1, 2015. You must submit two of each image in the following formats: 1- a jpeg at 1400 dpi (for judging) and 2- a TIFF at 300 dpi sized for 20” x 24” (for printing if image is selected) Each artist must also submit a short Artist’s Statement at this time. You do not have to submit three images, you can submit up to three images. All images submitted will be given code numbers, so NO ONE (except Wayne) will know which image belongs to which OCC member. Judging will be based on MERIT alone, so there will be no shoe-ins. All images will be treated equally. If your image(s) are selected, there will be a $50.00 entry fee (regardless of the number of imges submitted), which will benefit the OCC general fund. Photographers whose image{s} are selected will meet with JAI Gallery and discuss printing, matting and framing requirements, associated costs and sale prices for the image(s). The OCC exhibit, InSight, will open on March 13, 2015 and will be displayed and offered for sale at JAI Gallery until April 10, 2015. There will be an 80/20 split with 80% going to the photographer/artist and 20% to JAI Gallery. This is a great opportunity for each and every OCC member to have his/her work displayed at one of the premier art galleries in Orlando…JAI Gallery. Do not be shy…it does not matter whether you are a beginner or a seasoned shooter, because each entry has an equal chance of being selected for the exhibit. How GREAT would it be to have YOUR work on display before the eyes of Orlando and the art community in Orlando. Remember…the only images that do not have a chance of being displayed are those that stay on your computer and do not get entered.
