On Friday, October 23rd, and Monday, October 26th, give your kids a productive and fun way to spend their time off at the Orlando Science Center! Our school break program offers kids the chance to learn more about science and technology in an exciting, interactive environment. Whether they’re learning about how cooking is science, or simply learning how a snake crawls, our camps and classes are designed to entertain and inform.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23RD


Lego Architects (Grades K-2)

Design the city of your dreams! Create towering skyscrapers that fight against the pull of gravity! Using basic shapes, we’ll develop the blueprints for a bustling metropolis. From sports stadiums to train stations, we’ll put your plans into action and watch your creation come to life.


Mini Med School (Grades 3-6)

Is there a doctor in the house?! Explore the exciting, fast-paced world of medicine. Learn what heart rate, blood pressure, and reflexes tell you about your patients. See how doctors use the scientific method to make a quick diagnosis and save lives.


Magic Tree House STEAM Camp (Grades 3-5)

Begin your day at the Orlando Science Center, where we will follow in Jack and Annie’s footsteps exploring the prehistoric world dinosaurs. After lunch at Orlando Shakes, come along to Victorian England, as Jack and Annie help Charles Dickens write his classic A Christmas Carol, in a production of A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens. The adventure continues at OMA as campers explore art of the American Colonial period.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26TH


Creepy Crawlers (Grades K-2)

What’s the difference between an insect and an arachnid? How does a spider spin a web? What do bugs eat? Get up close and personal with creepy crawlers of all kinds. We’ll zoom into the fascinating world of the busy little creatures all around us.


Gross Out (Grades 3-6)

Prepare yourself for a day of disgusting experiments that will get your stomach churning. From snot to scabs and farts to fungi, you’ll explore the revolting science of everything that makes you say “Yuck!”

FEES

1-day break camps cost $55 for members, or $65 for non-members of Orlando Science Center. Sign up for multiple days to receive a camp discount!


*Camps begin at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. Early and late care are included in the cost of tuition. Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30 AM and pick up runs until 6:00 PM. Additional fees apply after 6:00 PM.
