Monty Montgomery was born in Port Antonio, Jamaica. This talented and charismatic singer started to write and create music in his early years. While studying in London, England, Monty met with fellow Jamaican musicians on the weekends. This led to the creation of the worldwide known “SYMARIP / PYRAMIDS” with hits like Skinhead Moonstomp, Traintour to Rainbow City, Skinhead Girl, Mexican Moonlight, All Change On the Bakerloo Line, Must Catch a Train to Night, and others. This band reached the British Charts and toured all over Europe. Monty collaborated with the legendary “Godfather of SKA” Laurel Aitken and Eddie Grant.

Born in Saint Andrew Parish & Pembroke Hall, respectively, the legendary rocksteady duo Keith & Tex recorded multiple hits with famed Jamaican producer Derrick Harriot from 1966-1970 including Stop That Train, This is the One, Tonight, Don’t Look Back, & Let Me Be The One, with Stop That Train being featured on the Harder They Come soundtrack. Keith & Tex’s live performances are punctuated with stories about their early musical impressions and experiences and the impact it has had on their lives. They are continuing their journey of love and respect for the music, performing, recording and enjoying their special “Rocksteady” vibes now, more than ever.

Control This! are Orlando’s hottest ska, rocksteady & reggae group. After touring the globe for 9+ years with 2-tone ska legends The Toasters (NYC), sax player and lead singer Jeff Richey decided to re-discover the root of his passion for Jamaican music by starting a traditional ska and early reggae band. By focusing on Jamaican oldies and filling the band with players of diverse musical backgrounds, Control This! has developed a unique and identifiable sound. From the early sounds of the Skatalites, to the bubbling and bouncing sounds of rocksteady, to the easy rocking sounds of lover's rock, Control This! touches on all the nuances of early Jamaican music. Audiences can look forward to original music from the band's debut album, 'Long Road' on Anti-Authority Records as well as covers of The Skatalites, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs & The Clash.

The Ambassadors pay tribute to early reggae and rocksteady, and feature members of Cold Spot 8.
