The Gallery at Avalon Island says
Join us for a special screening of Errol Morris' career defining film, THE THIN BLUE LINE. If you are a fan of Making a Murderer or The Jinx but have never seen this film you have no idea what you are missing. This is the prototype for the modern true crime documentary. Morris argued that a man was wrongly convicted of murder by a corrupt justice system in Dallas County, Texas. The way the story unfolds is both engrossing and infuriating.

Preceding the feature will be the 1980 short film WERNER HERZOG EATS HIS SHOE. As the title suggests, this short documentary shows Herzog paying up to his end of a bet with Errol Morris that ends with him publicly eating his own shoe. It is really quite funny and an interesting look into the early friendship between these two outstanding filmmakers.

Vita Luna Cafe will be on hand to serve coffee and tea. As well the bar will be open for your beer and wine needs.

Doors at 6:30, Film at 7:30. $5 at the door.
