New Moon Circle And Honoring Of Our Ancestors says
Join us in the garden to celebrate the New Moon and the harmony of our beautiful community!

Our New Moon circles will be held in a new format - we will be holding quieter circles, offering space to share songs and softer instruments like flutes. We invite you to participate in our song circle during the evening from 7PM - 10PM.

* Please remember - we cannot host dogs at this event!

* Please remember - we gather in a garden full of healing plants, please honor them by respect garden borders and pathways.

* Please remember - children are encouraged, but must be supervised.

Let us share a beautiful evening together at the November New Moon, with frame drums, didgeridoos, shakers, flutes, stringed instruments from guitars to violins to upright bass, tablas, singing bowls, and a chorus of our beautiful voices.

This New Moon will be a very special circle, as we honor the ancestors of our school's lineage on November 11th - Juliette de Bairacli Levy's birthdate, and George D'arcy's date of passing - as well as all of our ancestors in this potent mid-Autumn time. Look forward to seeing you around the fire under the Bodhi.

At the school, we seek to connect our community with the planetary cycles that affect all of us, even in urban environments, such as seasonal cycles, planting cycles, and lunar cycles. It is our belief that by living in greater harmony with the natural cycles that guide us, we develop a greater relationship to the planet and thus it becomes easier to walk our path lightly upon her. To help our community connect with the lunar cycle, we celebrate the New Moon and Full Moon with community circles. These family-friendly events feature drumming, dance, chanting, singing, local artists, healing, and much more. The energy of the circles shifts with the lunar cycles and is different each time. All traditions and faiths come together to honor the gifts of our shared community, planet, and universe in music, rhythm, and fellowship.

Meditation, massage, reiki, flutes, guitars, frame drums, tablas, and other musical instruments of a softer volume are welcome. Come sit in the garden and enjoy a moment to heal and commune each New and Full Moon. Bring an instrument and a friend, or use a community instrument thanks to Remo Drum if you don't have one.
