WKF04, Fall 1 Session

Making a fabric sculpture allows complete freedom of expression in creating wonderful figurines that have their own individuality and presence. First a wire armature is constructed, “mummified” and then “dressed” and draped with fabric dipped into the fabric hardener Powertex. The instructor guides you step-by-step to transform your armature into a unique sculpture. Whether you are a beginner or advanced artist, you will love this workshop. Materials included.

Regine Dossche is a Belgian artist and workshop instructor, residing in Orlando. She started off as a watercolor artist until she came in contact with Powertex, a trendsetter in the development of new techniques with textile hardening products. As soon as she started experimenting, a whole new world unfolded, and she was able to create figurines, sculptures, textures on canvas and even jewelry. She doesn’t just want to be a painter, a sculptor, or a mixed media artist, she wants to do it all, and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm about these techniques with beginner and advanced artists alike.
