This three-day workshop will focus on moving your work to the next level. We will capitalize on your strengths and work on your weaknesses. Emphasis will be on drawing, color and value, shape and form, edge, brushwork and composition. Required skill level is intermediate to advanced. The thrust of this class is development of an idea. We will start off with simple compositional drawings in ink, then move to value studies. From there, we move to color studies and then to the canvas with a strong battle plan.

Larry Moore majored in Graphic Design with an emphasis on drawing and art history, but there were no painting requirements. He learned to paint on his own and in the 1980s he began plein-air painting while working as a commercial artist. Having mastered many mediums, he began teaching in 1990. His goal is to give to others the things he spent a lifetime learning and is still learning. As an artist, his directive is to grow and expand out and up, with his purpose as an instructor to help you do the same.
