Every once in a while, something magical happens when the right mix of culture, people, music, lights, location, and alcohol come together. That was (IS) Smile for Camera's takeovr.
Starting in 2009, Smile for Camera decided to throw a party, and turn a douchebag of a club into something less doucheir. This was Roxy (RIP). For 5 years, every Tuesday night, Smile for Camera's takeovr was honored to host some of the best local, regional, and international artists in electronic music.
AFROJACK, DADA LIFE, PORTER ROBINSON, DROP THE LIME, DILLON FRANCIS, and countless others (many making their ORLANDO debut) graced the takeovr stage and performed for drunk humans everywhere.
Although many international headliners came through Smile for Camera's takeovr, three headliners in their own right provided the weekly soundtrack that shook your blood. takeovr residents CLIFF TANGREDI, JOEY PARANOIA, and WINSTON WOLFE consistently took you for a ride, moved your feet, and made your booty clap.
Ever since Roxy went out of business, the masses have kept asking Smile for Camera to 'bring takeovr back'. Well, enough time has passed and our livers are now fully recovered. You asked, now you get!
