PLAY IN A WEEK CAMP: "10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse"

This camp is for students in 1st-12th grades, and is limited to 20 students.

Students will start the day playing theater games, then rehearse and perform the Don Zolidis comedy play, "10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse". They will learn all aspects of producing a play including acting, makeup, costumes, sound, and lighting.

Play Synopsis: It's the end of the world and hordes of rampaging zombies are about to kill you. What do you do? Try your hand at kung fu against the undead? Attempt to reason with creatures that would rather eat brains than use them? Turn to this handy and hilarious guide to survive the apocalypse!

Camp is held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Camp Cost: $100.00


Students will receive a drink and snack each. They may bring food from home and there will also be items at the theater for sale. FRIDAY IS FREE PIZZA DAY!

Each day will have a fun themed dress up day (optional).


The Breakthrough Theatre is located at 419A W. Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park.

Your head counselor will be owner and artistic director of the Breakthrough Theatre, Wade Hair. Before opening the theater, Wade was a teacher with Orange County Public Schools for 13 years. He taught at Wheatley Elementary, Robinswood Middle, Howard Middle, Ocoee High, and Wekiva High. While at Howard Middle School, he also served as the coordinator of the City of Orlando's Afterschool All-Stars Program. He graduated from UCF with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with an added certification in Drama. He left teaching to open the Breakthrough Theatre, which is about to finish its seventh successful year. Wade is the proud father of two wonderful children and loves traveling (especially to NYC), reading, music, and theater.
