Elevate Yoga Center says
Join us for an afternoon of yin bliss with a focus on opening the hips and lengthening the hamstring muscles. This practice will leave you feeling lighter and will assist to alleviate back and hip pain caused by tight hip flexors and rotators. On an energetic level, it is believed we hold negative emotions and trauma in our hips which we are able to release when opening the hips. This opening allows space to create positive energy to improve our emotional state as well as our relationships.
The essence of yin is to surrender. Postures are held for 5-10 minutes to allow the connective tissue that surrounds the joint to lengthen and increase elasticity. Elasticity diminishes with physical activity and aging, which makes yin yoga essential for joint health and injury prevention.
$25 tickets available on-line or at EYC the day of the event.
