Orlando Science Center says
The Orlando Science Center’s Young Maker Workshop helps hone little maker skills! This month we are creating cardboard automatas, Valentine-style!

This is a really fun Maker activity that you can try at home! Use this project to explore simple machines, specifically wheels and axles. Use your critical thinking skills and creativity to make your project move.

This Maker project is a good introduction to the variety of mechanical elements like cams, levers and linkages that are used in many different applications in the real world.

There will be three workshops on Saturday and Sunday in Dr. Dare’s Lab inside of Our Planet Our Universe on Level 4. Space is limited so it is first come, first serve.

Workshops run for roughly 45 minutes and begin at:
• 11:30 a.m.
• 1:30 p.m.
• 3:00 p.m.
