Time Out says

Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is one of the largest gyukatsu (beef cutlet) restaurant chains in Japan and worldwide, with locations in South Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada and more. The outlets in its home city of Kyoto remain consistently popular with both locals and tourists.

Following the recent opening of a branch in Dotonbori, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu has now unveiled a new location in Minamisenba, nestled between two of Osaka’s liveliest areas – the shopping hub of Shinsaibashi and the business-and-hotel district of Honmachi.

While premium beef is a given, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is particularly known for serving its cutlets medium rare to preserve the meat’s natural umami and juiciness. Each cutlet is fried at a high temperature of 180–200°C for just 60–120 seconds, resulting in tender, juicy meat that's encased in a golden, crispy crust.

Diners can choose from a variety of cuts, from sirloin and tenderloin to chuck tail flap and even tongue. The cutlets are served with rice, cabbage and miso soup, accompanied by a selection of sauces and condiments to enhance the meat's flavour: Kyoto-style curry, grated daikon with ponzu, onsen egg, dashi soy sauce, sansho pepper salt, and the classic gyukatsu sauce.
