Xippas, Polaris, Loevenbruck and Cortex Athletico are just some of the Parisian galleries that have taken summer quarters in the Hauts-de-Seine. Organised by the Galeries Mode d'Emploi (part of the Fondation Ricard), the Cité de la Céramique is trying something new until September 21, planting an impressive selection of sculptures and installations in the museum's grounds. It's a great pleasure seeing the works taken out of their habitual white cube environments and placed against a more natural background. Artists Philippe Ramette, Markus Lüpertz and Virginie Yassef are represented, plus Ernesto Sartori and Laurent Tixador – wandering the site, you might also discover an enormous magic mushroom (Carsten Höller), a giant lipstick (Vincent Olinet) various animal figures (Laurent le Denuff) and much, much more. We highly recommend going out to explore – as long as the weather's on your side.
