Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, 'Tezuka'

Choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui seems to churn out new work at a feverish pace, but no-one could accuse him of running out of ideas. His latest piece, 'TeZukA' sees Cherkaoui inspired by Japanese animator Osamu Tezuka (creator of Astro Boy) and all things manga. With a cast of nine dancers, two musicians, an actor and a calligrapher, plus projections by video artist Taki Ueda, Cherkaoui aims to bring Tezuka's drawings to life.
