Erik Truffaz Quartet

The trumpet player from Savoie has become the European representative of a style of music mixing jazz, drum’n’bass and hip-hop. Awarded the label of ‘The Pope of electro-jazz’, he has also proved to be a prolific artist: on Blue note, he has made twelve albums since 1996, four of which were with an often superb quartet. Drawn out songs, hypnotic moods fill the acoustic space, giving a back seat to moments of electric explosion and special effects led by his wah-wah pedal.
