This self-proclaimed 'nomadic child of the cosmos' (she's actually from Stockholm by way of London) was catapulted onto the British soul scene a few years ago by a string of collaborations with high-profile producers. But there's more to her than famous friends: the front lady for the bassy, future-focused group of digital funk producers and DJs known as Eglo sings deep, jazz-inflected soul like a latter-day Erykah Badu. For her well-received virgin album 'Yellow Memories', released in May, she enlisted talent ranging from Floating Points to Snoop Dogg – come down tonight to hear its tracks performed live for the first time in Paris.
