Punchy and pretention-free, Plastiscines' brand of punk-flavoured power pop will appeal to those whose taste in music doesn't quite stretch to the proggy psych stuff currently dominating the airwaves. They're French, but they mostly sing in English, and have been known to crop up on TV shows stateside (fans of 'Gossip Girl' will know what we're talking about). Even if their recent releases are dimly sensationalist where their early music was genuinely provocative, they retain a formidable energy both on record and onstage.
