The tonal music of Armenia has been classified as part of our global heritage by UNESCO, and this is a unique opportunity to discover the rare and strange sounds of that tiny, underrated country. Lévon Minassian plays the duduk, a traditional Armenian woodwind instrument, whose sounds can also be heard on film soundtracks including ‘The Passion of the Christ’ and in collaboration with Peter Gabriel, Sting and Charles Aznavour.
