Philippe Starck’s hit restaurant in Paris 16th unveiled a hot new look in the autumn of 2008. Housed in a 700sqm art nouveau building on Rue de la Pompe, Bon offers four stunningly sensory sighting - an elegant vinothèque; loungey fireplace room with a big panoramic window; intimate fabric-lined boudoir; and a trendy library lined high with books. Starck’s surrealistic signature dominates throughout. Still healthy, the menu is now more international and dominated by Asian flavours. So grilled scallops come with tom yam sauce, and beef is teamed with lemongrass salad. The occasional celebrity sitting confirms that BON is still a place to see and be seen. So if you’re looking for fashionable fun, this is a tres Bon bet.
