This super restaurant set in the ground floor of the Hotel Le Laumiere is charming and traditional, with decor that recalls the pleasures of the garden: wood panelled and trellised walls, curving green chairs, views onto its own winter garden. But the warmth you'll feel is due to the excellent welcome and service of Eddy Zouari -- for many years manager of legendary La Coupole -- and his team. The menu features superb renditions of many French classics, but the fresh seafood and shellfish are specialties of the house and should not be missed. You might also sample the monkfish osso bucco, the calves liver with raspberries, the babas au rhum and end up reaching for superlatives too.
