The Liberty Bell

Time Out says

The Liberty Bell—a revered symbol of American independence—is one of the most-visited and photographed sites in Philadelphia. Characterized by that famous crack, the 2,080-pound relic sits in a prominent position at the front of the Liberty Bell Center, located on Independence Mall. Those looking to visit won’t have to pay a dime to get in, but should be ready to stand in a long line that streaks the length of the center. While you’re waiting, you’ll be treated to documents and other displays telling the history of the bell, which once rang in the tower at Independence Hall. Pro tip: If you don’t want to stand in line, you can get a peek at the bell from windows surrounding it at the corner of 6th and Chestnut streets. While it’s a pretty decent view, you won’t be able to see the crack unless you wait it out on the inside.
