On Sunday, you won’t have to scramble around the house looking for quarters to ride the Broad Street Line. From 9am to 9pm that day, all rides on the SEPTA orange line are totally free.
The deal is in celebration of the Eagles home opener game on Sunday, September 24, and is being provided by Miller Lite. This is the fifth year in a row the beer company has partnered with SEPTA to do this, in the hopes that more folks will take the train to Lincoln Financial Field instead of getting behind the wheel.
But you don’t have to be an Eagles fan—or even going to AT&T Station—to enjoy the free rides. They’re happening for everyone, no matter where you’re getting on or off. SEPTA is also supplementing their regular schedule with 10 Sports Express trips to accommodate fans heading to the game. The map below provides more details.
If you are an Eagles fan, you probably already know that their first home game of the season will be against their all-time rivals, the New York Giants. So expect the smack-talk game to be strong on SEPTA Sunday before kickoff (1pm) and after the game—especially if there are some Giants fans in town taking advantage of these free rides.
