This Friday, September 29, marks National Coffee Day, and a couple of Philly’s most-frequented spots for java are giving away the good stuff for free in honor of the occasion.
Good ol’ Wawa is coming through with the best deal: Any size coffee is free all day. Period. You don’t have to buy anything, you don’t have to smile at the front desk person. Just walk in, fill up and go about your day—two or three times if you want to. You can click here to find a location near you, but let's face it, you already know where your nearest Wawa is.
Over at Dunkin’ Donuts, you can score a free cup with your purchase of a medium, large or extra-large Dunkin’ Donuts signature hot coffee. What to do with an extra cup, you ask? Give it to your boss or coworker for brownie points, or just store it in the fridge for a nice iced version later on.
Both city locations of Rival Bros Coffee are offering 12-ounce cups of drip coffee for $1. And out in Haverford, Green Engine Coffee is selling $2 cold brew coffee (12 oz.), $2 Capogiro affogatos and, because why not, a special pop-up taco bar with $2 tacos.
And if you don’t feel like standing in line on National Coffee Day, just order an Lyft. On Friday, Philly Lyft drivers will be handing out free cans of High Brew cold brew coffee, while supplies last.
