On Friday, the folks from Craft Concepts Group announced that they were taking over the retail space formerly inhabited by Simpson’s Jewelry to host a temporary, Christmas-themed cocktail bar called Tinsel. The Midtown Village venue opened not long after the announcement and welcomed guests throughout the weekend for holiday-inspired cocktails and a list of Belgian and American beers.

Check out photos from the opening weekend below, which provides a glimpse at some of the first patrons and the winter watering hole itself, which is decked with tons of kitschy holiday decor—from lights and Grinch memorabilia to a mini train set—and even an original Krampus mural by local artist Scott Johnston.
