The entire city is pumped for the Eagles parade on Thursday. Estimates say that six million people could show up to see the Birds travel down Broad Street and then the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with their shiny, new Lombardi Trophy raised to the sky. It could be the largest sports parade in history.
As we’ve come to expect with any major celebration in Center City, traffic and parking will be a nightmare, so it’s best to plan accordingly. The City of Philadelphia has released a full schedule of road closures and lane restrictions for the day. Most of the closures go into effect Thursday, February 8, at 11am, though some closures began Tuesday and Wednesday. From the city:
The inner lanes (inbound and outbound) of Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed from Eakins Oval to 20th Street from 10:00AM-3:00PM and 6:00PM-10:00PM on Tuesday, February 6th and Wednesday, February 7th. This closure will not be in effect during AM and PM rush hours, and cross streets will remain open to traffic throughout.

There are several parking restrictions, too—including (gasp!) the Broad Street median through most of South Philly. The following streets will be closed to parking beginning at 6pm on Wednesday, February 7, and will remain that way until 6pm on Thursday, February 8. Be sure to take notice, the city will toll your car.
