Lovers of those old Hollywood musicals you see on Turner Classic Movies should head out to Media to see this adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. Don’t be fooled by all the peppy songs, though. The show can be a bit of a tear-jerker, following a romance gone woefully wrong between a carnival barker and a small-town mill worker named Julie.
