Curio Theatre Company is a small operation, utilizing two spaces within West Philadelphia’s Calvary Center, and their budget—for theater, at least—is modest (as are ticket prices). But their imagination and sense of purpose are unlimited. Recent seasons included a stage adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale, The Bald Soprano, Death of Salesman and The Cripple of Inishmaan. You can count on work here to always be done honorably, and sometimes thrillingly.
