Dynamite Series @ Phit Presents: Page One

This installment of the Dynamite Series features Page One. A unique collaboration between Philly’s most talented improvisers and local playwrights, each performance begins with the opening page of a newly written script, which is then completed by the cast of Page One, creating an otherwise unscripted original one-act play in the moment. Directed by Steve Kleinedler. The playwright for February is Greg Romero. Originally from Louisiana, Romero's plays, site-specific projects, and sound-art collaborations have been presented across the United States as well as in Switzerland and Canada. He was selected as the first-ever ArtsEdge Resident and is one of three playwrights to inaugurate the Philadelphia Dramatists Center/Plays & Players Playwriting Residency. He is an alum of the WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory, a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, and his works are published by Heinemann Press, YouthPLAYS, and Playscripts, Inc. He received an MFA in Playwriting from The University of Texas-Austin where he held the James A. Michener Fellowship. Curated by our PHIT's Artistic Director, the Dynamite Series is an open creative space that showcases existing shows and original projects that cover a wide variety of comedic disciplines, strengthen our connections to other communities in Philadelphia, and demonstrate boundary pushing comedy.
