SoundGarden Hall x Disco Donnie Presents pres. WE ARE GTA x TJR North American Tour w/ special guest Wuki Opening sets by NIICK, Evan Riley Bottle Service - vip@soundgardenhall.com // 847.268.8331 The genre-snubbing, booty-autographing, reckless club night-having duo comprised of JWLS and Van Toth team up with the boss of bounce, the shah of shuffle, the rajah of rage, TJR, for one hell of a show. ABOUT GTA https://soundcloud.com/wearegta Thirty push-ups and a shot of tequila each: that’s all the preparation Julio Mejia and Matt Toth need to throw down a killer set, to turn from laid-back and unassuming 20-somethings into the scene-stealing DJ and production duo GTA. Despite GTA’s wild, unpredictable sets, everything the duo does – both on stage and in the studio – is unified by a simple mission statement: death to genres. “A lot of people argue about the kind of music they listen to, what’s cool and what’s not,” Mejia explains. “But for us, it’s just about good music.” As they’ve promoted their genre-free ethos, Toth and Mejia have become bona fide tastemakers to fans and fellow artists alike, proving that “dance music” is best defined as whatever makes you move. GTA’s all-inclusive style is best exemplified in their “Death To Genres” mixes, which resist classification and instead go for maximum energy. Whether you prefer to say the powerhouse duo is killing genres or creating their own, one thing is clear: GTA is on a bold musical mission, and they’re taking us along for the ride. ABOUT TJR https://soundcloud.com/tjr TJR (real name TJ Rozdilsky) has built a formidable catalogue of original tracks and remixes since exploding on the scene in 2008. Originally a golfer from Connecticut he left his plaid pants and golf clubs behind to become an acid house and techno DJ, before evolving into the innovative producer and DJ that he is today. In 2012 Chris Lake signed him exclusively to Rising Music. He’s twice topped the Beatport charts at the overall number #1 spot, first with ‘Funky Vodka’ in 2012 and then again in 2013 with the massive ‘What’s Up Suckaz.’ Also known for his monstrous hit ‘Ode to Oi’ and his certified Multi-Platinum smash, ‘Don’t Stop The Party’ with Pitbull, TJR has become the master of the summer anthem, and consistently creates fun-loving, self-aware and surefire dancefloor monsters. “Producing fulfills my creative side, but DJing is my release. I’m almost snapping crossfaders off mixers because I’m so amped up; I just want to get up there and destroy everything. I want people to come away from my sets thinking that TJR brought something that we’re not used to seeing anymore.” – TJR ABOUT WUKI https://soundcloud.com/iamwuki Wuki is the genre-blending solo project of Denver-based producer Kris Barman. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit ghettotech and Chicago footwork scenes, Barman’s ability to seamlessly mix booty, breaks, electro, and house into hard-hitting club-shakers has become a trademark of the Wuki sound. The Mile High City resident has earned releases and remixes for notable imprints such as OWSLA, Main Course, Fool’s Gold, and Ultra – not to mention support from the likes of Knife Party, Skrillex, and Rolling Stone Magazine.
