Homeschooler Days Morning Session

March’s lesson topic is “Nest Building.” We’ll be out in the Garden with the birds, observing. You’ll experience the diversity of building techniques and material choices across various species and construct a nest of your own from materials collected on site. Our Homeschooler Days program serves homeschooled students, ages 5 – 13, and meets monthly with morning and afternoon sessions to choose from. This year’s topics range from botany to colonial cooking, and from navigation to creating music from birdsong! Morning session: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. RSVP: 2015marchhomeschoolam.bpt.me. Afternoon session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. RSVP: 2015marchhomeschoolafternoon.bpt.me. Costs: $10 per student or free for Bartram Members. Each lesson includes activities, reading, snacks, and walks through the garden (weather permitting). At least one adult chaperone is required for every two children. Pre-registration required.
