Opening Reception: Laos In The House

"Laos in the House: Voices from Four Decades of the Lao Diaspora" March 6th – May 1st, 2015 We’re pleased to partner with long-time artist and alum Catzie Vilayphonh in hosting artists hailing from across the country and an array of disciplines, uniting with their use of art to heal the scars of war and to tell the stories of the Lao community in America. LITH Philly will include community workshops, a dynamic performance showcase, and a multi-disciplinary gallery exhibition of contemporary Lao American artists. Opening Reception, March 6th, 6-8PM: Please join us in enjoying light Lao refreshments and snacks, as well as a special blessing ceremony from the monks of the Wat Lao Phouthathammaram. Please don't forget there will be two follow up receptions: First Friday Open House, April 3rd, 6-8pm Performance Showcase featuring national Lao American artists, May 1st, 7pm
