Time Out says

Each month, Sanctuary LIVE! presents headlining artists of various genres as well as an open mic opportunity for attendees. Taking place every third Friday at 7PM, Sanctuary LIVE! features the very best talents from Philadelphia, and beyond. This month's Sanctuary LIVE! will feature rising Philadelphia-based performer, Lee Mo. Lee Mo, born and raised in Baltimore, MD, is the musical product of many influences: gospel, jazz, and soul, to name a few. She started in church, singing with her siblings in the children's choir. At a young age it was clear that music was her gift, having written and composed songs before the age of ten years old. She grew up listening to Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Whitney Houston, and Ella Fitzgerald, who have all influenced her distinct soulful and jazzy sound. In high school she cultivated her gift in singing and playing the trumpet, and she also realized her love for music production. In high school she was inspired to further her career at Temple University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Vocal Jazz Performance in May 2014. Lee Mo has worked and shared the stage with many artists in the Philly area, including Vertical Current, George "Spanky" McCurdy, Chartel, Eric Roberson, and Jeff Murrell to name a few. Young in age, but mature in sound, Lee Mo knows what she wants from the music, and her performances provide nothing less than an authentic, free, and spiritual experience. The event is hosted by the fabulous performer and vocalist Safa with additional vocals and piano by Philadelphia's own emerging jazz great, V. Shayne Frederick. Meet us on Friday, March 20 at 7PM for Sanctuary LIVE! Admission is only $10 — we’ll bring the wine, light fare, musicians and platform; you bring… YOU! Whether you plan to rock the mic, or just enjoy the show, ALL are welcome – spread the word! Doors 7pm, Open Mic 7:30 pm and featured set at 8:30pm.
