OFFICIAL SMALL HOUSES ALBUM RELEASE SHOW
SMALL HOUSES - http://www.smallhousessing.com/
“Quentin refuses to sleep sometimes, unable to rest on any complacency when it comes to what we find value in. he knows beauty and he knows sadness and it puts them into the same vase.” – Daytrotter
“[Small Houses] resonates with an affinity for other songwriters including Gillian Welch, Ryan Adams, and Jeff Tweedy, but is not solely defined by them” – Brittany Joyce; PASTE Magazine
RAPHAEL CUTRUFELLO - http://www.hezekiahjones.com/
"Hezekiah Says You're A-Ok, the debut album from Philadelphia songwriter Raphael Cutrufello's Hezekiah Jones (named from the folk song "Black Cross"), is a record both nuanced and swayingly graceful. Falling somewhere in the realm between early Leonard Cohen and Will Oldham's Bonnie 'Prince' Billy recordings, Hezekiah Jones has crafted an album of tightly coiled harmonies, memorable, lyrical melodies, and nimble, literate songwriting." - NPR
HELLO SHARK - http://burstandbloom.bandcamp.com/album/break-arms
“Endearingly lo-fi, minimalist acoustic campfire ballads about topics as disparate as romance and insects, all delivered with aching sincerity. There are a few embellishments from Casio keyboards, drums, and guest vocalists, but for the most part it is simply the work of Linc Halloran and his guitar. Sounds kind of like Cowboy Junkies if they junked their sister singer and replaced her with a pathologically shy entomologist. It’s the kind of thing that could seem affected, but because it’s so spare and straightforward, Halloran (er, Hello Shark) makes it work.”
