On February 20th, Dirk Brossé and The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia will host the first Unstrung Heroes community cabaret event in over a decade.
Unstrung Heroes is a unique performance in which community musicians are invited to perform with The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and guests are invited to experience this rare pleasure.
This special night kicks off at Bistro St. Tropez with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and performances by The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia with special host, Dan Baker, the announcer of the Philadelphia Phillies for over 40 years.
Stay tuned for live auction information. We hope you’ll join us for a night of music and community.
Come as you are after work. Parking is conveniently located in the Parkside Parking Lot (surface lot) at 23rd and Market ($15 for 90 minutes, $20 for up to 24 hours).
The History of Unstrung Heroes:
Unstrung Heroes was an annual cabaret established by founder Marc Mostovoy to showcase the artist in everyone. A tradition up until 1994, politicos, attorneys, doctors, and more took up their instruments or voices to perform with the orchestra. In our 50th anniversary year, we are reigniting this tradition for a fun evening of fantastic food, music making, and camaraderie.
