THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST!
Philadelphia City Council and the Pennsylvania State Legislature make policy decisions every day that affect young women. Join Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) and Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania as we celebrate Women’s History Month with a conversation about the progress women have made over the last few years, the work still to be done with a new Governor, and what a major Mayoral election in Philadelphia could mean for young women in our region.
Journalist and Associate Director of Strategic Communications for Women's Law Project Tara Murtha will lead a panel discussion that explores issues such as paid sick leave, pay equity, women’s health, and how young women can get involved. All registrants are encouraged to note any specific policy areas you would like the panel to address when you register online. (Don’t worry, there will be time for a question and answer session at the event if you can’t think of any questions yet!)
Panelists:
Diana Marques, Public Policy and Advocacy Manager, Women’s Way
Maggie Groff, Vice President for External Affairs, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania
Dr. Bridgette Brawner, Assistant Professor of Nursing, University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing
Dinner is included with admission, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you register online.
