BREATHING SCULPTURES – REACTIVE SYMBIONTS – ENTANGLED SHAPESHIFTERS – CYBER FASHIONISTAS As a part of CMU's wats:ON? festival, this ensemble concentrates on contemporary relationships between movement based performance, wearable sculpture, prosthetic apparatus, DIY costuming, and identity-based performance through explorations in the adaptation, translation, enhancement, exaggeration, modification, and mutation of the human body. The members of Activated Anamorphs create devices that alter, augment, mask, and transform the body and its inherent abilities by investigating new ways to interact with our physical and imagined environments. Activated Anamorphs is taught by Scott Andrew with graduate assistant Isla Hansen, and features Julianne D'Errico, Lex Gernon, Marla Parker, Lucy Petters, Lanre Ad, Hannah Gaskill, Christin Bongiorni, Lindsay Cavallo, Stephanie Cheung, Albert Jacob Cisneros, Colleen Clifford, Mariah Ganek, Jackie Mishol, James Monroe, Anna Azizzy, Gwen Sadler, Alex Tobey, Alex Walker.
