This is a one-day competition in celebration of Black History month, bringing together students within Pennsylvania. The African History Bee is open to students from 6th - 12th grade. The competition provides students a chance to test their general knowledge of Africa in an exciting and competitive setting.

When: February 25, 2017
Time: 5:00p.m.
Where: Assemble PGH, 4824 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA. 15224

Who can compete:
Pennsylvania-based students from 6th -12th grade.
This is an individual competition, however, students from the same school may attend to compete but only one person emerges as the
winner.

How to apply:
Fill out the online registration form below and pay the participation fee ($20.00) on the day of the competition.
You will receive a confirmation email detailing the next steps. Guests who plan to attend the event to watch your candidate compete can purchase a ticket of $10 on the day of the competition at the door.

The competition will include questions from North, East, West, South, Central and the Horn of Africa.

Prizes:

First Prize: $200.00 scholarship*
Second Prize: $100.00 scholarship*
Third Prize: $50.00 scholarship*

*Scholarships can be applied to any level of education
